Chapter 475

The sunlight was perfect as Andrew Smith held Luna White's hand, weaving through the bustling commercial street. The department store's glass façade glittered under the sun, flanked by rows of small shops with vendors calling out their wares.

"Luna, let's get you some new clothes," Andrew suggested, pointing to a beige trench coat in a display window.

Luna shook her head. "We wear uniforms most of the time. Anything else would just collect dust." She gestured toward a watch shop across the street. "You, on the other hand—how long has your watch been broken?"

Andrew instinctively touched the motionless timepiece on his wrist, damaged by shrapnel during a mission. Before he could protest, Luna pulled him into the shop.

"What about this one?" She indicated a mechanical watch with a black dial.

Andrew opened his mouth to refuse, but Luna had already asked the clerk to wrap it up. Warmth flooded his chest, and he suddenly tugged her outside. "Now it's your turn—we're getting your ring."

Inside the gold shop, everything gleamed ostentatiously. Luna frowned at the chunky gold bands in the display case, imagining herself administering injections while wearing one. She shuddered.

"Not your style?" Andrew immediately picked up on her hesitation.

"Too... flashy," she said diplomatically.

Without another word, Andrew led her to a payphone on the corner. Half an hour later, they stood before an understated jewelry boutique.

"Second Brother!" A ponytailed girl bounded out cheerfully. "This must be my future sister-in-law! I’m Vivian Ye, Nathaniel’s cousin."

Luna blinked in surprise at the girl, who appeared around her age. Vivian ushered them inside with enthusiasm. "I heard you’re here for matching bands? Wait right here—I’ll bring out the newest designs."

Three velvet trays lined the glass counter. Vivian lifted the lid of the first. "These are platinum with diamond accents—simple yet elegant, perfect for professionals like you."

Luna’s eyes lit up. The rings had clean, fluid lines, their diamonds catching the light with understated brilliance. She picked one up, examining the trio of tiny stones embedded along the band—subtle yet refined.

"Do you like it?" Andrew murmured near her ear.

The tips of Luna’s ears pinked as she nodded. Vivian stifled a giggle. "Excellent taste, Sister-in-law. This is our designer’s latest piece—called 'Stardust.'"

Andrew slid on the men’s band, the platinum’s cool sheen complementing his strong, defined fingers. When their hands intertwined, Luna’s pulse quickened.

"We’ll take this pair," Andrew declared, then shot Vivian a playful look. "Give your sister-in-law the family discount?"

Vivian grinned, thumping her chest. "Absolutely! You’ll leave happy—guaranteed!"
