Chapter 305

Luna White's figure disappeared at the end of the corridor, yet Sean Shaw's gaze lingered, unable to pull away.

Too familiar.

That slight tilt of her chin when she turned, that cool, distant aura—it was identical to the woman in his memories.

"You think she looks familiar too, don't you?" Dr. Sandra Miller sighed softly.

Sean snapped out of his thoughts and quickly introduced, "This is my daughter, Kelsey Shaw. Kelsey, say hello to Dr. Miller."

"Hello, Dr. Miller," Kelsey greeted obediently, her voice gentle.

"What a well-mannered girl," Dr. Miller remarked warmly, studying her. "How old are you?"

"Eighteen."

Dr. Miller's expression shifted slightly, her gaze turning thoughtful as she glanced at Sean.

Sean immediately understood her unspoken question and forced a bitter smile. "Julia and I had already separated by then. She... fell in love with someone else."

He lowered his eyes, his tone heavy. "Let's not talk about it. Just consider it my fault."

After all, the dead couldn’t defend themselves.

"Impossible!" Dr. Miller shook her head in disbelief. "Julia adored you. How could she—?"

The girl who had willingly cut ties with her family for Sean—how could she have changed her heart?

"Some memories are better left in the past," Sean deflected. "I never expected you to become the hospital director. I’m truly happy for you."

A calculating gleam flickered in his eyes. A hospital director—now that was a valuable connection.

"That Dr. White..." Sean feigned hesitation. "She looks so much like Julia."

"Yes, but she has parents and siblings. It’s probably just a coincidence," Dr. Miller said, her expression dimming.

"I remember Julia was sent to a rural area near Dr. White’s hometown back then..."

Dr. Miller looked up sharply. "Really?"

"If Julia’s child were still alive, they’d be about that age now," Sean murmured. "But the Yu family..."

"The Yus never returned to the capital after their rehabilitation," Dr. Miller said, shaking her head. "I heard Old Man Yu’s health declined, and his sons stayed with him in the countryside."

Sean exhaled inwardly in relief.

After exchanging contact information, he deliberately added, "If you hear anything about Dr. White, please let me know."

As she watched the father and daughter leave, Dr. Miller fell into deep thought. She would get to the bottom of this.

The black sedan pulled away from the hospital slowly.

"Dad, are we just letting this go?" Kelsey asked quietly.

"Send someone to investigate," Sean said, narrowing his eyes. "If she really is my daughter, bringing her back to the family is only right."

He turned to his daughter. "As for your mother..."

"I’ll handle it," Kelsey replied with a faint smile, a cold glint flashing in her eyes.

For the sake of the Shaw family, anyone could be sacrificed.
