Chapter 331

"Luna!" Lily slammed her chopsticks down and grabbed Luna's wrist. "You can't play favorites! We're closer than sisters. You helped William, so why won't you help me?" Her eyes reddened with urgency, voice trembling with hurt.

Luna chuckled at her dramatics, gently prying her hand loose. "Relax, finish your meal first. Do you really think I'd forget about you?"

But Lily was already on her feet, clearing the dishes with restless energy. "I'm done!" She snatched the chopsticks right from Luna's grasp.

Luna stared longingly at the remaining braised pork. "But I haven't—"

"You can eat later!" Lily glared, protective as a mother tiger guarding her cub.

With a resigned sigh, Luna shook her head at her friend's impatience.

In the kitchen, Lily scrubbed dishes with brisk efficiency, water splashing noisily.

"Luna, give it to me straight—will you help or not?" Lily bit her lip, eyes welling up again. It stung that Luna had prioritized outsiders over their bond.

Drying her hands, Luna smiled. "Who said I wasn't? I've already planned two paths for you."

Lily froze, the dishcloth dangling forgotten in her grip.

"First option: work as a shop assistant when William opens his store. Steady income, no startup costs." Luna counted on her fingers. "Second option..."

She deliberately trailed off, and Lily stamped her foot. "Out with it!"

"You're skilled at sewing. Take tailoring classes, then open your own shop." Luna's eyes sparkled. "Expand later, partner with William—he supplies fabrics, you handle production. Eventually, you could run a clothing factory."

The bowl slipped from Lily's hands, clattering into the sink.

"Really? I could own a factory?" Her voice shook.

Luna nodded. "If you're willing to work hard, absolutely."

Suddenly, Lily lunged forward, damp arms locking around Luna as she planted a loud kiss on her cheek.

"Luna! You're my lucky star!" She babbled excitedly, "From now on, you're my blood sister—I'll fight anyone who messes with you!"

Gasping for air in the crushing hug, Luna laughed and patted her back. "Easy! I wasn't finished..."
