Chapter 330

"Brother-in-law, instead of begging around for loans, why not borrow from me?" Luna White pressed her slender fingers lightly on the bankbook, a sly smile in her eyes. "This isn't charity—it comes with interest. I believe in you, but the path ahead is yours to walk."

Henry Cooper rubbed his hands anxiously, his dark face flushing red. "This isn't proper! I couldn't—"

"Deal!" William Cooper cut in abruptly, his gaze burning as he stared at Luna. "I'll write an IOU."

He saw trust in her eyes—a beam of light piercing the gloom of his life.

Luna nodded in satisfaction. "That's more like it. But don't rush into business unprepared." She counted off on her fingers, "Market trends, in-demand goods, supply channels—you need to research everything. The south is full of scammers, and you'd be alone—"

"I'm not afraid!" William clenched his fists. "I'll scout the market tomorrow. If I can't handle this much hardship, I might as well go back to hauling bricks at the construction site!"

Luna suddenly remembered something. "Oh, my sister has a storefront for rent." A shrewd glint flashed in her eyes. "If you can source directly from the south, the profits would far exceed wholesale margins."

William's eyes lit up.

Luna mentally calculated—when the time was right, that plot could be developed into a commercial hub. But for now... She glanced at William's determined expression and smiled faintly.

This young man might just carve out his own destiny.
